Dan Rubright was recently awarded one of St. Louis Regional Arts Commissions’ 2019 Fellowship Grants to support his continuing work as a composer and bandleader and to enhance the vibrancy of the St. Louis arts community. Rubright has led various jazz, pop and world music groups over the years including the Dan Rubright Group and the WirePilots. He has also worked as a top free-lance guitarist for numerous groups and artists including the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, The Fox, Opera Theatre St. Louis, the Muny, Denise Thimes, Willie Akins, Steve Davis, Erin Bode, Peter Mayer and many others. He was a jazz faculty member at Webster University in St. Louis for over twenty years.
